NTHS is acknowledged internationally by industry and education as the leader in recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education. The NTH mission is to publicly recognize outstanding career and technical students who are committed to excellence, values, citizenship, and achievement. Its vision is to advance excellence in career and technical education, and raise the bar for student achievement. To be eligible for membership in the UTC chapter of the NTHS, each student must be recommended by one or more faculty or staff, have a cumulative grade point average of 88 or higher in all high school classes, have a minimum grade point average of 93 in their UTC program, have a definitive technical career goal, and be an honest, responsible student-citizen committed to personal and professional excellence as demonstrated by the highest standards of conduct, attendance, achievement, and community service. Students are nominated by their UTC instructor.
