Health Occupations – CNA

The Certified Nursing Assistant Program is open exclusively to seniors. The program is designed specifically to prepare students to develop the skills, knowledge base, and work ethic necessary to enter the medical field upon graduation or to continue with their education in the medical field. In these courses, students will have an opportunity to earn multiple certifications. Students will learn through class lectures, participation, demonstration, lab practice, and clinical experience. The Health Occupation courses will also emphasize teamwork, interpersonal relationships, and effective communication skills.

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Demonstrate professional attributes
  • Communicate in an effective, positive manner
  • Apply critical/creative thinking skills
  • Demonstrate proper safety and infection control practices
  • Demonstrate understanding of medical ethics and legal responsibilities
