Electronic & Advanced Manufacturing

This program will prepare you for an opportunity in dozens of electronics, computer, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and automation careers. Students will design and build specific purpose automation equipment. The curriculum includes general computer installation and service, diagnostics and troubleshooting, network installation, and operations. Programming and running Arduino systems, electronic circuitry design, and wireless systems. At the end of the course, students may choose to take the CompTIA A+ Certification exam. This exam is designed to show that the successful candidate has the knowledge to identify and explain PC components, set up a basic PC workstation, conduct basic software installation, identify compatibility issues, and recognize/ prevent basic security risks.

Students will work with VEX Robotics, a national competition, as a team and compete at the state’s competitions and beyond. Students also have the opportunity to compete in SkillsUSA. Up to 30 credits from our dual-enrolled courses are directly linked for students to be able to continue their Associate’s Degree Program in Computer Science – Networking.
