Meet Michael Vanadestine, UTC's Welding instructor. Before joining UTC, Michael had a 32-year career with Ironworkers Local 7, starting as an apprentice in 1986 and retiring as a Project Superintendent at CCB, Inc. He also served over 20 years in the US Navy, specializing in maintenance and repair work for nuclear-powered submarines and concluding his service as a Seabee reservist. Michael is an avid golfer, snowmobiler, hunter, and fisherman. Married for 34 years, he is a proud father of three daughters and grandfather to two grandchildren.
